Corner Bath
You have finally decided to renovate your bathroom and adapt a corner bath design. However, you had to stop being excited about it because you have to decide what design you would use for your corner bath. To help you decide, give time to some important details regarding corner bath designs.
Standard Bath – is the most practical choice among the types. This type of bath won’t require any other feature except for the shower. The only design you’d be worrying yourself with will only be regarding the size or the space of the corner bath, and the colors or designs on the wall and the floor. It saves the most space because even a 24’’ x 24’’ standard corner bath will do.
Soaking Bath – mainly features a bathtub. By just extending your budget for a few more hundreds of dollars, will let you have a little of luxury in your bathroom. Installing a soaking bath won’t necessarily require you to use it all the time. The benefit a standard bath can give can be included in a soaking bath, except that you added a little extra—for times you will feel like you deserve to relax as reward for yourself. If you do agree that it’s all right to have this little extra, you have to consider some options—the following are types of soaking baths:
Freestanding soaking bath is a more common choice. A freestanding bath won’t rely on walls. It can be positioned away from the corners of a bathroom—even at the center. It also allows you to relocate easily once you feel the need for a new bathroom arrangement. Almost freestanding tubs are purchased.
Under mount or dugout soaking baths are the traditional kinds. The main feature of an under mount is the leveling with the ground. So deciding for an under mount would depend where the bathroom is situated. An under mount requires that you dig out a portion on the ground so a basin can be made. However, among the types of soaking baths, it has the advantage of having the most depth, because with other types, increasing the depth would require increasing the height of the deck—which is highly impractical. Another good thing about it is you don’t necessarily need to buy one, you can just design and customize your own.
Drop-in soaking baths have rims and decks where you can sit on. It’s the same as a freestanding that they both have the feature of being elevated from the ground. Drop-ins can be fixed in the corner of the bathrooms. The main features a drop-in has advantage with are the designs that can be carved on its rim and deck allowing for a more luxurious or pleasant appearance. Like an under mount, you don’t necessarily need to buy a ready-made bathtub.
There are infinite numbers of ways you could design your corner bath. With a mix of creativity, personal touch and preference, a 5-star quality bathing is just as accessible as your bedroom.
